Behavioral Health Services
Resolving mental and emotional health challenges requires special care. At Merit Health Central, we focus on helping individuals achieve optimal mental health in a professional, caring environment. We offer a range of services for adults 18 years of age and older, including diagnostic evaluation and crisis stabilization. The behavioral health team provides care for a wide range of mental and emotional challenges, from depression and severe mood swings to dementia and acute mental illness.
The multidisciplinary team includes:
- Psychiatrists
- Medical physicians
- Registered nurses
- Social workers
- Case managers
- Recreational and physical therapists
- Marriage and family therapists
- Chaplains
- Medical and dietary support staff
The behavioral health team develops treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient while addressing the concerns of their family. The goal is to give patients the skills and tools needed to again function appropriately in everyday life.
Inpatient services are designed to help individuals work through acute mental challenges and resume daily functioning. The inpatient setting provides for quality care to be provided around the clock throughout the patient's stay.
